After a year in Zürich
One year ago today I was discovering, to my shock and horror, that my laptop's charger doesn't fit in the Swiss socket. My phone charger did, but the laptop plugs pins were 0.25 mm thicker, so they did not.
Several hours earlier I boarded the plane from Budapest to Zürich, feeling like I'm going on an adventure. I did not know what was waiting for me, I didn't even know what team I would be working with, but I was very excited and looking forward to whatever was coming.
Looking back now, after a year, wow, it's been quite the adventure, so much more than I could have imagined. When I got baptized, in 2010, a very dear brother told me that if I were to follow the Lord, I would never have a boring life. And he has been right about it so far.
More than all the trips I could make to many places, more than what I've learned on the job about how to run the biggest email service in the world, more than getting to know all my really brilliant colleagues, more than the higher standard of life I've been enjoying since moving here, I am rejoicing because I got to know the Lord, my Saviour, better. I got to know more of my calling, more about His Eternal Purpose.
I don't know what the future holds for me, but I know that I want to keep running the race, fighting the good fight and keeping the faith and follow my Lord wherever He leads me.
